A very glam and beautiful Serena Williams attended Fashion’s Night Out: The Show at Lincoln Center on Tuesday night in New York City.

The Tennis star had to sit out this year’s U.S. Open because she cut her foot with glass earlier this year. All is good though, her sister Venus Williams is still in the running for the singles competition.

BRIAN MCKNIGHT RESPONDS TO RAPE CLAIMS THAT HAPPENED AT HIS HOME

R&B singer and talk-show host, Brian McKnight recently responded to the allegations made by porn star, Alana Evans who claimed she was raped in his home while he was out of town. Evans reported that she was raped in McKnight’s home while his 15 and 17 year-old sons were in the home partying with friends:

“I was made aware of a party at my house in my absence in December of 2008. I was in NYC, and both my boys (ages 15 & 17 at that time) were at the house with some friends. I can confirm that Ms. Evans was in fact at the house, as I discovered she provided some of the liquor.

“Being as I was not home at the time, I cannot speak absolutely regarding all the events of the evening, however my sons did inform me that due to Ms. Evans level of intoxication, that they placed her alone in a bedroom so she could “sleep it off.” The next morning Ms. Evans stayed and socialized at the house until approximately 2PM.”

Evans says the man who raped her is Nicholas Hayes, and McKnight acknowledges that allegation.

“Two days after the party, Ms. Evans contacted the LAPD,” McKnight continued in the statement. “The police came to the house and questioned the entire family and Mr. Hayes with the full cooperation of the McKnight family. Mr. Hayes retained a lawyer, and cooperated in a month long investigation. The police concluded that no rape had occurred, and no charges were ever filed. This information is all part of the official police report.

“Rape is a very serious matter, and not something we take lightly. I truly hope that Ms. Evans was not discriminated by the police because of her profession. I believe that the police concluded simply that no crime had taken place.

“That being said, ‘if I ever had knowledge of such a vile and reprehensible act by anyone whether they were friends or family, I would never work to ‘protect’ that person. The statement that Mr. Hayes has been banned from my home is not true. ” [ SOURCE ]

Singer Chris Brown enjoyed a day out in Miami Beach with friends on Tuesday afternoon. He made some waves on a jet ski before joining his friends in the water and playing games with the ladies who were there.

A very dapper Kanye West was spotted stepping into his Maybach in Soho earlier this week. The star, who recently released a new song “Devil in a New Dress”, went on a Labor Day tweetfest saying that he wrote a song especially for Taylor Swift:

The new project, which features productions and writing from Chad Hugo, Kenna, State of Emergency, Oak, Beau Dozier and more, was released exclusively to our friends at Rap-Up.com.

JoJo is still working on her third studio album, tentatively titled All I Want Is Everything, which is slated to drop sometime at the end of this year via Blackground/Interscope Records.

Following his surprise appearance at the BET Awards earlier this year, El DeBarge has been making his way back into the spotlight prior to the release of his fifth solo album (his first album in 16 years), aptly titled Second Chance. El covers the October issue of Ebony and discusses the man he once was and the man he has now become.

Rihanna debuts her brand new single, “Only Girl (In the World)” this morning on On-Air With Ryan Seacrest.

The new track comes from Rihanna’s fifth studio album, rumored to be titled Loud. The track is produced by Stargate, with whom Rihanna has crafted her #1 hit (and others), “Rude Boy.”

Although no official album release date has been confirmed, it’s rumored that Rihanna will release Loud via Def Jam on November 2nd.

It’s Peter Hernandez Jr. (aka Bruno Mars). The singer/producer said earlier this month that his debut album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, is “100 percent” complete and includes lead single “Just the Way You Are”. Word is, the album will be released October 5.

NBA All-Star Dwyane Wade and his girlfriend actress Gabrielle Union were spotted strolling the streets of Miami hand-in-hand on Thursday (September 2).

Here’s Nicki Minaj’s promo video for the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. Nicki will give her first-ever televised solo performance during the pre-show with “Your Love” which is set to kick off Sunday, September 12, at 8 PM (EST).
